Lorenzo was unable to improve but the Yamaha rider is satisfied.

Jorge Lorenzo becomes one of just two riders to produce a 1’46 lap at the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon.
Throughout the entire Aragon GP weekend, Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo has been in peak form. Most riders have been unable to get within half a second of him in practice and it was only in the final stages that Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) began to pose a challenge. In Qualifying the pair opted for a three run strategy, the only two riders to do so. On his first run Lorenzo produced a respectable 1’47.080. His next two runs would see two 1’46s, with a best of 1’46.743 on his second run.
Using a old front tyre, Lorenzo was unable to improve but the Yamaha rider is satisfied. The Honda and Marquez is a far more explosive combination than the Yamaha, producing single record-breaking laps with much more ease than Lorenzo. The Mallorcan’s race pace also looks strong and it appears that both he and Marquez have the speed to break away. Despite one or two small areas for improvement, Lorenzo is happy with how his Yamaha M1 is behaving and is confident of a strong race on Sunday afternoon.
Jorge Lorenzo: “When I looked at my times I was very happy, because it‘s always difficult to fight for the pole position. Our rivals‘ bikes are probably a bit more explosive than the Yamaha and especially this track is usually better for them. To be able to be in the 1‘46.7 is unbelievable, we improved our old record here by more than a second, so I‘m very proud about that and happy with the work we‘ve done throughout the weekend and this particular lap. We need to improve the last details of the bike this afternoon for tomorrow, but in general I like it a lot how it behaves all around the track, so the team did a great job with the setting.” metro7news.com
